3rd Annual Meeting LymphChip

October 21, 2024

On October 21-22, the third Annual Meeting of LymphChip took place at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), bringing together 35 participants from our academic and co-financing partners, as well as members of the Advisory Board.

The event kicked off with research updates from all work packages, providing a comprehensive overview of the progress made across various projects. The evening concluded with an engaging dinner, where most attendees gathered to continue discussions in a more informal setting.

On the second day, we introduced a new breakout session format to explore collaboration opportunities between members with complementary expertise in technology and biology/disease. Additional breakout sessions were also held, focusing on addressing technological and biological challenges.

Representatives from our co-financing partners and Advisory Board expressed their appreciation for the insightful presentations and discussions, and they encouraged early-career researchers to leverage the LymphChip network to enhance their careers.

As a follow-up to the meeting, researchers from both academia and industry visited the Organ-on-Chip Centre at Mirai House in Leiden. There, they had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge equipment from LymphChip partners AIMBiotech, Alvéole, and Optics11 Life, alongside a live-cell imaging system from Sartorius.
